Busy busy bees

We had a super duper busy weekend. We were going nonstop!!

Friday was Miss Peyton's 1st birthday! We had a small family celebration awhile back, but we just did our family (meaning Chris, myself and Peyton) on her actual birthday. We went out to eat at Outback and opened her presents and she ate some "cake" (it was really a piece of banana cream pie, which she smashed everywhere!)

Saturday was spent in Mt. Baldy. We were a bit unprepared (no jackets! well except for Peyton). We rode the ski lifts to the Notch restaurant (no snow, just windy, sunny and pretty chilly) where we ate breakfast and got warm before heading back down. Peyton fell asleep on the ski lift on the way down.

Sunday was our 3-hour block of church, a missionary farewell and then up the hill to visit with family and have Sunday dinner.

Monday was Peyton's 1-year check-up. Here are her stats:
Height: 30 inches (she's in the 97th percentile! she's gonna be tall!)
Weight: 19.01 pounds (in the 25th percentile)
What the pediatrician said:
She's tall and skinny like her dad!! She had 4 shots, and did so well! She's on target with all of her milestones and just doing great!

After her appointment, Peyton and I adventured to Knott's Berry Farm with Chris's parents. They have a steal of a deal this month where Veteran's can get in free and bring up to 6 people for $15 each (regular admission is $51.99!) We had lots of fun looking at stores and even going on a few rides. Peyton was very tired from her shots, and this is the only picture I took:

That is a very busy weekend but looked like a lot of fun. I was surprised that even though Peyton smashed up her pie she looked pretty clean...or was that before she dug in?
Great pictures at Mt. Baldy...it's so beautiful up there!
