And so it was! We actually planned to go on a day we thought it was supposed to be raining, the main reason being that my hubby couldn't work on the roofing job he is at while it rains, so it was a good excuse to have some family fun. Lucky for us, it didn't rain that day but since we didn't know that until we got there, it was too late to turn back.
We got our traditional doughnuts to eat along the way, and were pleasantly surprised at how uncrowded it was! The weather was Perfect (yes, with a capital P) and all the lines were short, or completely non-existent.
To avoid buying overpriced food for lunch, we walked across the street from Disneyland to McDonalds. While we were waiting for our food, a nice employee was cleaning the table next to us. Peyton proceeded to say, "Hi! My name's Peyton." This sweet worker pointed to her name tag, and said that her name was Nadia. Peyton then said, "It's nice to meet you. Are you cleaning that table?" Nadia definitely looked shocked, not only that Peyton was talking so well, but that she seemed to be so interested in talking to her.
On our way out, we passed by Nadia again and Peyton waved and said, "Bye, Nadia!" You could have blown Nadia over with a feather! She was so surprised that Peyton remembered her name. I was a very proud mommy at that moment. My daughter teaches me so much. Not only that it is important to be kind to everyone, but that everyone deserves to be talked to and appreciated. I am not the kind of person who walks around saying hello and good day to everyone (and let's face it, if I were, they might try to lock me up), but my daughter is. She is a constant reminder to me to remember that everyone is a child of God and deserves respect and acknowledgment.

One thing we do whenever we go to Disneyland is bring the stroller and pack an ice chest with food. We can't afford food at D-land so we bring it. We have a soft ice chest and it's small but it fits frozen waters and capri suns perfectly. Another bag is filled with snacks and food. It saves us tons of money and I just love that Disneyland is so nice to allow families to do that.
Love how friendly Peyton is. Very cute! Yes, we should all be like that.
Wow, you have such a little smartie on your hands! I'm glad you guys had fun.
Very sweet!
