Becoming a Mom Changes You

There are so many ways that being a mom changes you, so here are a few I've been thinking of recently:

-You become less selfish
This is a big one. Where your world used to center on you and yourself, now it centers on this new tiny person. Your time is not your own anymore, and somehow, you're ok with it. You change your sleep schedule, habits and life completely. You sacrifice so much to make them happy.

-You become more sympathetic
Think about it. Before you were a mom, you know you witnessed a mother in the store struggling with her child and you thought of 5 things she should be doing differently. Now that you're a mom, you've been there and understand that no matter how much you try, your kids will not always be perfect. And that's ok. Perfect is boring anyways.

-You learn patience
No matter how much you think you are not patient, I can guarantee that you are at least slightly more patient after you become a mom. It takes practice, lots and lots of practice, but it's there. Little by little, you're becoming a more patient person each and every day.

Those are just a few, I know there are many many more. What ways have you been changed by becoming a mom?

well i'm not a mom, but i think that moms grow some huge balls. like you may not stand up for yourself or whatnot, but no one is going to treat your child like that! LOL. Plus, you do things that would normally scare you, but you do them for your child, so you can share the experience or to help them not be afraid of something.
